Day 8

Image
Day 8 - Post your favorite deployment pic (a pic of see u laters, him coming home, or him deployed) and tell why it is your favorite This is a pic of him before leaving to AIT. He hasn't been in the army for very long so I don't have many pics of him leaving or coming home. I do like this picture though because he knows the reason I'm standing far way. I didn't want to start crying in front of everyone but he knew I was didn't want him to go. I'm sure the goodbye will get a little easier...

Today's my birthday and of course my guy couldn't be here to celebrate with me but he did send me a really nice bouquet. I love it because it's not roses! Roses are nice and all but I love bright colors and different kinds of flowers in my bouquet and of course he bought a bright and different kind of flower bouquet :)). He's never bought me flowers like this one so I was very surprised and it brought a smile to my face :).

Day 7 - post a picture of a wonderful friend that you’ve made because of your s/o being in the military hm so I haven't really met a new friend since he's been in but I have reconnected with a couple. One has always been my bestie but has been super supportive when I get sad about him being gone and the other I hadn't talked to in awhile but we've been keeping in better contact now.

That's where my heart is! 2. is has a pretty cool museum 3. it is the fires center 4. there are lots of restaurants and hotels in Lawton 5. it is a training base so there are always new recruits coming in and out.

Day 5

Day 5 - post a pic of the branch he is in and list your favorite thing about him being in the military hm my favorite thing about him joining the army is that I've gotten to know him on a different level. We've been together for almost 4 years, so we've gotten to know each other very well. It was weird because after he left to bootcamp we started it was like we had to reknow each other. I've learned a lot about both him and myself. It has definitely been a big change in both of our lives but not in a bad way.

Today I was feeling really down and questioning certain things in my life. I turn 24 next week, when I was younger in high school I had so many goals and places I thought I would be at the age of 24. So today it hit me only some of those goals that I had came true, a lot of the goals I had have yet to happen. Some days like today I get so upset that I put things on hold to be there for my mom when she was sick, to be supportive of my boyfriend/fiance when he decided to go to the army. It's weird though because after I was done feeling sorry for myself. I got on facebook and there was a video that someone had posted, so I decided to watch it. It got me to thinking that life definitely doesn't have a set course and that everyone gets to the point that God wants them to get to on his time. Anyways so the video was about Military girlfriend/spouse and it just hit home. I guess I should mention that the reason it hit home so much is because I had gotten mad at my guy because I blam
